We are pleased to announce that the Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo has donated $5,000 to the YMCA of Southern Interior BC Okanagan Swims program on April 9, 2026.
This donation directly supports the YMCA Okanagan Swims program, which provides free access to emergency water safety lessons, including transportation to and from school, for every third-grade child in School District 23. The program's goal is to teach children the essential skills required to survive an unexpected fall into deep water, addressing the fact that drowning is the second leading cause of preventable death in local children under 10 years old. We are proud to support this initiative that provides essential swimming skills to over 1,900 children each year.
