Adventures In Tourism

On behalf of the dedicated service of our long-standing Adventures in Tourism committee, we regret to inform you that this program will not be taking place in the upcoming spring of 2026.

Although our club has wholeheartedly supported this program every year, we are searching for another club member to lead the Adventures in Tourism program. At this time, there were not any volunteers available to fill this position. We continue to search for this replacement, and when we secure a leader with the capacity to spearhead AIT, the program will return.

We hope to provide this program in the spring of 2027.

Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) of Kelowna

The Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) is a not-for-profit organization designed to accommodate a team of highly skilled professionals who are empowered to collaborate on cases, take actions that prevent re-victimization, and support the child's long-term well-being, as well as non-offending caregivers. The goal is to provide a center of leadership, promoting excellence in child abuse services, research, training, and education — a collective community response to protecting children from abuse.

Help support the CYAC of Kelowna at Our Fancy Pants Charity Golf Tournament, held every year in September. Learn more about our Fundraisers.

Adopt a Road

Twice a year, our Club helps keep Kelowna looking beautiful from the ground up… literally! We pick up garbage & debris along our route of city streets twice a year as participants in the city’s Adopt-a-Road campaign.

Camp OAC

Camp OAC is a children's summer camp located just north of Kelowna on the beautiful Okanagan lake! Since 1950, Camp OAC has had thousands of campers attend their summer camps. In the offseason, the amazing property is available for rentals to host family reunions, get-togethers, weddings, and school group rentals.

Camp OAC is a place that everyone can enjoy. Learn more about Camp AOC.

Pollination

The Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group Pollinator Action Task Force  educates and supports actions on four simple ways to protect pollinators: grow pollinator-friendly flowers, provide nest sites, avoid pesticides, and spread the word. To support Operation Pollination, Ogopogo Rotary planted a pollinator garden on what was formerly a weedy space on city property. Butterflies now flock to eco-friendly plants, bringing life and beauty to the garden.

Salvation Army Holiday Kettle

November 23, 2024 at Superstore.
We did it! Thanks to the generous matching support of the 2050 Investment Advisory Group at RJL, Ogopogo Rotary raised $10,516 for the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign last Saturday. The best way to start the holiday season is by giving! Kudos to all of our volunteers and everyone who donated.

Every year, Ogopogo Rotary participates in the kettle campaign with matching funds from Raymond James Financial (Frances Chen). In 2023, we raised over $10,000.

Elevation Outdoors

Elevation Outdoors’ mission is to enhance the lives of underprivileged youth via participation in specially designed outdoor sports programs; and to help youth develop lasting passion for these sports while drawing parallels to life through the experience and learning life skills along the way. In December 2023, Ogopogo Rotary was proud to provide a $10,000 donation, which was matched by the Stober Foundation, making these life-changing programs available to more Kelowna youth.
